Hard Road International has announced development plans for a Reverb by Hard Rock Pensacola location at Maritime Park

Developers plan to break ground in 2026 and open by 2029. The announcement came a day before the Pensacola City Council votes on the 100-year lease.

Hard Rock Pensacola will feature more than 125 hotel technology-enhanced rooms, a full-service restaurant, rooftop bar, lobby bar and lounge, quick service restaurant and fitness center. An exclusive Reverb City Guide for Pensacola will feature local artist-curated lists of favorite drinks, dining, and entertainment locations throughout the local area. Additionally, the property will host a podcast recording studio for local talent and creators as well as a meeting space for conferences.

The property will be located downtown at Maritime Park along Pensacola Bay with views of the water and Blue Wahoos Stadium.

The project is expected to create an economic boost to the area and generate over 500 construction and 75 permanent hospitality employment opportunities with competitive pay.

“Hard Rock is thrilled to keep growing our REVERB hotel portfolio with what will be the second planned property in Florida, this time in the heart of Pensacola Bay. We have full confidence in our partner, the Dawson Company, to deliver a best-in-class hotel based on their four decades of proven experience executing complex and catalytic projects throughout the eastern United States, and their extensive knowledge of the Pensacola market,” said Todd Hricko, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Hotel Development at Hard Rock International.

The Dawson Company is a second generation Pensacola-based development firm.

Other partners contributing to the development include Pensacola native, NFL Hall of Famer and real estate entrepreneur, Emmitt Smith, CEO at EJ Smith Enterprises.

JJ – “And they can park at all those pay parking spaces.
We dont need anymore buildings downtown!”

The facility will include the construction of a parking garage.

Emmitt, we don’t want your investment.

So everyone on here is against housing and business development north of 9 mile and now you all are against development downtown. Where do you suppose we house all the people moving here? The city is growing. This should be celebrated and welcomed. A city that stagnates, dies. I suspect most of the people complaining about the progression of Escambia County are of an age that won’t allow them to fully appreciate the long term benefits of this development but those of use who actually have a vested interest in improving the county for the benefits of our lifetimes welcome this and other projects like it.

There are currently plans for the development of two new hotels in the central downtown area of Pensacola. One where New World Landing is and the other where the old post office is, both on Palafox St. There are plenty of restaurants located downtown, creating a strong level of competition. If, and to me, that’s a big IF, they actually build this, it will either put a few local restaurants and bars located downtown out of business, as well as at least one or two hotels, or the Hardrock Reverb hotel and bar will be sold off or closed after about 5 years. As someone mentioned, if Pensacola’s city and county officials don’t start widening roads and building new infrastructure, people will begin leaving this area.

@George…It will have to be east of Nick’s Boathouse to be on Maritime property. West of Nick’s is Bruce Beach.

Yea, you don’t need room for parking. Just build it close to the water and call it ‘municipal auditorium’.

Where will this be exactly? To the west of Nicks? In the big vacant lot north of W Main? Surely they are not going to let them build it on what little open space the park itself has.

Use local contractors from the area if it has got to be built. Keep the locals busy and not contractors from out of town.

it will be right next to the new proposed 12 story “affordable housing” development for maritime park.

Does Pensacola have that many guests overnight every night? I watch a few new hotels that have been built near the hospitals and they don’t seem to be lit up at night..
If they can be filled let’s widen the roads now.
